The officer told the friends to take the subject home. The officer was standing on the corner to ensure public safety as bars were closing when the subject yelled out to him that he wanted to fight him. The subject told the officer to take off his uniform so he could beat him up, walked toward the officer, and “sucker punched” him in the face. The subject tried to hit the officer again, but the officer blocked the second punch and hit the subject in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The subject tried to get up again, but the officer was able to bring him to the ground and place him in handcuffs.
