TALK IS CHEAP
Nov. 25, 7:22 p.m.
Union Street at Webster
Officers were in the area when they were flagged down by two citizens who stated that a male subject was aggressively panhandling and jammed a cup in the chest of one of the citizens. The citizen did not want to press charges against the subject, but wanted the officers to talk with him. The officers made contact with the subject and discovered he was on probation and had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. The officers took custody of the subject and transported him to Northern Station. The warrants were confirmed and the subject was later booked at County Jail.

A $5 WHACK ON THE HEAD
Nov. 27, 12:15 p.m.
Lombard Street at Laguna
Officers responded to an assault call. A man told the officers he was driving in a vehicle when he observed a female sitting on the steps of a house. The man saw the female get hit in the back of the head with an unknown object by a male subject, stating that the female got hit so hard that she fell down the stairs to the sidewalk. The man stopped the car and called 911. He then followed the male subject until police arrived. The victim told police that the male subject walked up to her and asked her for $5, and she told him no. The male subject took a stick and hit her on the back of her head and walked away. The victim stated her head was sore. The officers summoned an ambulance for the victim. The subject was transported to Northern Station for further investigation. The officers learned the subject also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The subject was transported to County Jail and booked for the assault and his warrant.

LOCKED, LOADED AND LOCKED UP
Dec. 1, 2:01 a.m.
Lombard Street at Octavia
Officers were on uniform patrol when they observed a car make an unsafe lane change that almost hit their police vehicle. The officers got behind the car and saw that the rear brake light was out. The officers did a traffic stop on the vehicle and discovered four occupants in the vehicle. The officers called for backup while talking with the driver. The officers learned that two of the subjects were on active felony parole and the driver’s license was suspended. The officers got all of the occupants out of the vehicle and searched it per condition of their probation. The officers located a silver and black handgun lying on the driver’s side floor. A second handgun was found sticking out from under the armrest of the passenger seat. A large quantity of marijuana, a scale, and ecstasy pills were also located. The officers transported all four occupants to Northern Station for further investigation and the vehicle was towed. After a thorough investigation by the officers, the subjects were transported to County Jail and booked for the appropriate charges.

ROCKS, CRIES AND VIDEO TAPE
Dec. 8, 2 p.m.
Francisco Street at Van Ness
A citizen approached the school resource officer and told her that he was hit in the back with an unknown object. He stated that he was cleaning his vehicle when he felt a hard object hit him in his back. He turned around and saw a juvenile subject who looked directly at him and took off running. The officer gathered video surveillance from the area and was able to identify the subject from the video. The officer located the subject and took him into custody. The subject was transported to the juvenile facility, cited and released to his mother. The victim did not complain of being injured and refused medical attention.

DON’T I KNOW YOU?
Dec. 10, 11:19 a.m.
Lombard Street at Octavia
Officers responded to a 911 call from a woman who stated she was walking down the street and saw a suspect who looked like the person who had robbed her a few days ago. The officer who responded recognized the victim as he took the initial report from her. The officer also saw the video of the incident and recognized the suspect. When the officer tried to stop the subject, he took off running and refused to stop. The officer chased him and called for additional units to assist. The officers quickly caught up to the suspect and took him into custody after a brief struggle. It was later discovered the subject had a warrant for his arrest. The suspect was also wearing the same clothes that he had on when he robbed the victim. He was later transported to County Jail and booked on several charges.

PUNCH DRUNK
Dec. 11, 12:49 a.m.
Fillmore Street at Greenwich
Officers responded to a call regarding a victim who was punched in the face. The victim refused medical attention and told the officers that he was in a bar when the suspect ran up to him and punched him in the face for no reason. The suspect had been drinking and told the officers that he did not punch the victim in the face. After a thorough investigation, the officers cited and released the subject for battery.
