Union Street could soon get a new grocery. Luke’s Local, which operates a store in Cole Valley, is in talks to take over the former Osha Thai location at 2033 Union Street.
District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani told the Marina Times that bringing a high-quality grocer to the area has been a top priority. “I couldn’t be more thrilled that Luke’s Local is moving into this location. It is important to me that we fill our vacant storefronts and cultivate robust, diverse, and accessible merchant corridors. Bringing one of the top local grocery stores in San Francisco to Union Street will continue to activate the corridor and provide needed and easily accessible services to our community, including our senior population.”
