A subject was arrested for elder abuse, aggravated assault, and possession of narcotics following an unprovoked attack on a 74-year-old man in early October. The incident occured on the 1800 block of Chestnut Street, where the man was violently shoved to the ground, sustaining a fractured kneecap, according to Northern Station police.
Several witnesses filmed the event, and one of them followed the suspect as he fled on food; the witness kept in communication with a second witness who stayed with the victim. That second witness let police officers use her phone to communicate with the first witness; together they were able to locate and apprehend the suspect.
