On exhibit through Aug. 29 is “Last Supper in Pompeii: From the Table to the Grave,” which presents a picture of everyday life in terms of food, drink, and art by focusing on what was preserved after Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD 79 and includes pots, pans, and other paraphernalia in the distribution, preparing, and serving food along with artworks; and through Nov. 1 is “Wangechi Mutu: I Am Speaking, Are You Listening?” a site-specific exhibition of sculpture, collage, and film by visionary Kenyan American artist Wangechi Mutu of powerful female characters, hybrid beings, and fantastical landscapes challenge traditional art histories, mythologies, and conventional techniques of archiving and remembering. $15, 888-901-6645, famsf.org
