Francisco Reservoir open forever?

The Francisco Reservoir Working Group has proposed a design for the Francisco Reservoir land that has sat unused for decades off Hyde between Chestnut and Bay streets. The group has been working with Supervisor Mark Farrell and Recreation and Park to support the transfer of the Reservoir from the Public Utility Commission to the Recreation and Park Department. The working group’s design and land-use experts will next focus on the design of the project, which Farrell reports is “going strong as we work with the community to create something special here for the entire city.”
