The Union Street Association presented certificates of honor for outstanding holiday window and store displays this year.
Best Interior Design was awarded to Betelnut restaurant, 2044 Union Street. The whole interior is festooned in red and gold decorations, making for a festive and delightful ambiance.
Fatto a Mano, 1800 Union Street, won second place for window designs featuring an old-fashioned Italian setting both religious and traditional.
Best Window Design was justly awarded to The Enchanted Crystal, 1895 Union Street. Owner Dennis Beckman always displays wonderful windows, but during the holidays, they
are unmatched.
Special mention must be made of the Cudworth Mansion, 2040 Union Street, and the Jest Jewels building at 1869 Union Street for building lighting design. These buildings really are special, as are all the decorated trees, residential windows, and other colorful designs that contribute to making our neighborhood magical for the holidays.
