Washington Square Park gets six-month closure

Neighbors and visitors to North Beach’s Washington Square Park will have to find other places to hang out in early 2019 when the park closes for six months while the city upgrades its irrigation system. S.F. Recreation and Park says the project will result in annual savings of two million gallons of water.
